Stainless-Steel RX Drainage Pump Design

Clear-Water and Small-Solids Handling
The Pedrollo RX pump can transfer clear water containing suspended solids up to approximately 10 mm.
Therefore, it can handle small particles commonly present in sumps, drainage water and compatible household wastewater.
However, the RX Series Drainage Pumps are not intended for sewage, sand, abrasive particles or long fibrous materials. For dirtier water containing larger solids, an RX-VORTEX or dedicated wastewater pump may provide a more suitable solution.
Stainless-Steel Construction
The outer sleeve, suction filter, diffuser, impeller, motor sleeve and motor cover use AISI 304 stainless steel.
In addition, Pedrollo manufactures the motor shaft from AISI 431 stainless steel. Consequently, the construction provides durability and corrosion resistance for compatible domestic and public drainage applications.
Double Shaft-Seal Protection
The RX Series Drainage Pumps use a double shaft-sealing system with an intermediate oil chamber.
RX 1–3 models combine a mechanical seal with an additional shaft seal. Meanwhile, RX 4–5 models use a double mechanical-seal arrangement.
Therefore, the sealing system provides an additional protective barrier between the hydraulic section and electric motor.
Motor and Electrical Options
The RX range uses two-pole motors designed for continuous-duty operation.
Single-phase RXm models include integrated thermal protection and a float switch. Three-phase RX models are also available for installations with a suitable control panel.
