Overview
Argal KGK Series: Vertical Centrifugal Pumps for Aggressive Liquids
The Argal KGK offers high-performance vertical centrifugal pumps designed for handling aggressive liquids. Engineered with precision and crafted from premium materials, these pumps deliver outstanding reliability and efficiency in diverse industrial applications.
Key Features of the KGK Series
Efficient Vertical Design:
These pumps facilitate vertical installations with the column and volute casing submerged in liquid. The motor sits above the liquid, simplifying maintenance and ensuring safety. The axial suction pipe directs flow downward, while tangential and outlet pipes pass seamlessly through the base plate.
Extended Shaft Capability:
Operators can customize shaft lengths up to 4000 mm. When shaft lengths exceed 2000 mm, additional intermediate bearings provide stability and minimize wear.
Versatile Configurations for Various Needs:
This series includes three configurations to cater to diverse performance requirements:
- G1 – G2: Radial volute for broad liquid-handling applications.
- G3: Axial fumes setup for specialized industrial use.
Performance and Specifications
- Capacity: Up to 275 m³/h
- Length: 500 to 4000 mm
- Motor Power: Ranges from 0.55 kW to 45 kW
- Wetted Parts: Available in PP or PVDF
- Column Materials: Choose from PP, PVDF, PP + FRP, or PVDF + FRP
Advanced Sealing and Safety Features
Enhanced Safety Through Leak Prevention:
These pumps eliminate the need for traditional sealing systems, reducing risks of liquid spillage. Moreover, operators can choose from various vapor sealing options to suit specific applications.
Continuous Gas Containment:
A dry vapor steam seal, located near the base plate, actively contains gases during operation. It manages pressures up to 60 mbar. For higher pressures, optional mechanical seals or dry constructions are available, ensuring seamless performance in challenging conditions.
Durable Materials for Aggressive Applications
Manufacturers build these pumps using corrosion-resistant materials like PP and PVDF, reinforced with FRP when needed. These materials offer exceptional durability, extending the operational life even when exposed to the harshest liquids.
